A rock licker AKA geologist, specialized in sedimentology of fine grained sediments "shales" and the interaction of climate and oceanic patterns that enhance the accumulation of organic matter at geological timescales. Avid user and abuser of geochemistry and biologically induced sedimentation. Worked in the upstream research groups for Chevron, Conoco and Aramco until early retirement in 2021.
