Photography the death portrait
did not know this. Photographers in 1800s would commissioned to take family portraits with deceased loved ones.

@jcmacomber There is actually a very good YouTube channel called "Ask a Mortician" run by Caitlyn Doughty. She talks about different death customs and other death related things. I seem to recall she did an episode where she replicated a death portait.
