I had some free time and took this it is an ovariole, or chain of developing eggs, from a Drosophila ovary. Lipid droplets are green, actin is magenta, and nuclei are blue.

We have rediscovered the fireplace. It's finally cool enough to turn it on.

It was a long week that ended with me having to lecture a group of grad students about how they should clean oil off a $40k objective, and how I now had to try to get dried immersion oil off a silicone immersion objective. Managed to clean it but it was tough. Had to go into lab today so I indulged in some microscope therapy. I seem to take pictures of the same thing, but darn it, it's pretty.
