@wormerama Good luck!
Our #paper on # lipiddroplet regulation of actin remodeling through control of substrate release for #prostaglandin production is submi6!
As someone who entered research as an "aged person" , when journals and departments talk about young scientists I feel like I don't count. I have been technically doing science through my education and career. But with regard to research, I am new. FYI I went to grad school in my 40s. I feel like I have no future.

@OChemistree@twitter.com We have a colour changing #Chemistree in the @StAndrewsChem@twitter.com teaching lab this year. Theme is organic chem/2022 Nobel prize. Flasks containing glucose, methylene blue and thionin. The big flask contains cream of tartar, copper sulfate and a bit of peroxide. 1/2

There are few soil organisms more wonderful than Pseudoscorpions, it's always a joy to find one when I'm out with my camera!
This stout little murder machine is a compost chernes (Pselaphochernes scorpioides), found on decaying leaves in an open compost heap.

In the USA, the NIH budget is about five times the NSF budget. We "sneak" basic science in, under cover of justifying the work as bettering human health. Maybe this needs to be rethought.

Hello #sciencemastodon. I’m the Executive Editor of @J_Cell_Sci. I’m relatively new to the position (having been an Editor at @Dev_journal for years) so I’m here to find out about all things #cellbio (and maybe some #devbio 😊). Any suggestions on who or what to follow?

Well, I guess I'm looking for work again! Force reductions just before Christmas. 5 years of service, big features built and released, internal awards won, and it all ends with a Zoom call. Awesome.
Anyone hiring ex-principal software engineers/architects/devmgrs who're excited about distributed identity?
If you could boost I'd appreciate it! I think making a connection on the Fediverse would be sweet.
@nomi OMG you didn't eat gas station sushi, did you?
PhD in Cell Biology
Currently a Postdoc in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Iowa
I love biology and teaching people about what is happening in cells. I also am really interested in microscopy.
I also like cats, horses and horseback riding, fish keeping (I have two aquariums), video games-particularly the Half-Life franchise and Half Life mods, and I have recently gotten into VR (NOT META!) so if you want to chat about any of these topics that would be great!
