'Using an inbred line from a natural population with high diapause plasticity, we demonstrate that diapause is determined epigenetically: only a subset of genetically identical individuals enter diapause and this diapause plasticity is epigenetically transmitted for at least three generations'

It was a long week that ended with me having to lecture a group of grad students about how they should clean oil off a $40k objective, and how I now had to try to get dried immersion oil off a silicone immersion objective. Managed to clean it but it was tough. Had to go into lab today so I indulged in some microscope therapy. I seem to take pictures of the same thing, but darn it, it's pretty.

Some weeks in the lab are tiring + difficult going, but then I get onto the microscope and am always reminded about why I love my work. Look at them go 🤩 #fluorescenceFriday
