Hi #ScienceMastadon !!! #Introduction
I’m a mucosal immunologist at the University of Oxford especially interested in studying antigen-specific T cells.
I also enjoy nerdy baking! Highlights below 🤓👩🏻🔬👩🏻💻👩🏻🍳
@Geolizzy
I am not a geologist ( total biologist), but I like geology. Particularly volcanoes. I grew up during the Mt St Helen's eruptions.
@nomi
I actually heard of someone with that name.

@trinsec
I like games too. I really like half life and half life mods.
@trinsec
There are a lot of cornfields Herr. I was lucky to find my way out!
@DrK That sounds really cool! I am a postdoc who uses drosophila genetics to understand the role lipid droplets play during development.
@peterdrake I think the challenge is to create a non-judgmental environment. Unfortunately in the world of social media and normal human nature, that is easier said than done.
@SteelFolk I agree. I think one of the most difficult things for new grad students to understand is that grades and GPA aren't what define you any more. It is more important to be able to reason and do good reasearch.
PhD in Cell Biology
Currently a Postdoc in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Iowa
I love biology and teaching people about what is happening in cells. I also am really interested in microscopy.
I also like cats, horses and horseback riding, fish keeping (I have two aquariums), video games-particularly the Half-Life franchise and Half Life mods, and I have recently gotten into VR (NOT META!) so if you want to chat about any of these topics that would be great!
