There's another talk - I barely remember it - but IIRC it was interesting. Apparently mast cells can also release extracellular traps.

So, it's been 3 weeks for me in the #fediverse. I like the engagement and while I of follow a couple of "bigshots" (let's just face it, @georgetakei is just delightful), the most meaningful interactions happen with more or less random people I found on the local and federated timeline. There are just so many funny, obscure, geeky, artsy, and nerdy topics out there to talk about.
I'm definitely #HereToStay and will explore other parts of the fediverse, like #WriteFreely and #PeerTube
I love watching Alveolar epithelial type 2 cells move. Here’s another beautiful clip from @mauchioccioli@twitter.com I feel I can spend all #BlackFriday watching. Enjoy. 😍🫁#FluorescenceFriday #AT2Move

@trinsec I think he would seriously consider it, given that he decided going vegan wasn't worth it

This came up in my timeline today from seven years ago. The snowy egrets were chasing the mergansers and cormorants who were herding fish. It was great to see!

@steven I haven't seen that, but you never know. That's my next step. I was hoping shrimp would work because snails are poop machines
@steven I get what you're saying, but I have had bettas and shrimp together before with no problem. Zim is a jerk. But I love him, despite my giving him an expensive snack. I'd like to get pygmy corys as a cleanup crew, but I am afraid he would terrorize them
@richieholland Not sure. If the toxicity from the burb cones here, I am out. If it goes commercial, I am out
@steven He is hard to see. He isn't as showy as other bettas. But he changes color depending on lighting. I have kept bettas with other fish before, but this guy has an attitude
@steven
Idlike to have something else with him, bet he is too aggressive
PhD in Cell Biology
Currently a Postdoc in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Iowa
I love biology and teaching people about what is happening in cells. I also am really interested in microscopy.
I also like cats, horses and horseback riding, fish keeping (I have two aquariums), video games-particularly the Half-Life franchise and Half Life mods, and I have recently gotten into VR (NOT META!) so if you want to chat about any of these topics that would be great!
