Question: my home server is qoto.org. As I post about different interests or topics, I wonder if topic diversity will be welcomed or seen as spam. Thinking about local timeline and lack of algorithm. Should I not be concerned?

@EduCrave I'm glad you asked this - I've been wondering too. I picked qoto because my interests and profession are aligned with STEM, but realistically I mostly talk about cats and Star Trek.

Don't worry too much. Although this server is STEM-oriented, we totally welcome all other side talk like your hobbies or whatnot. It's simply the place where we geeks can nerd out about stuff. 😊
@AnnTelope Same! When looking over servers, qoto was the only one that seemed to fit.
@EduCrave I don't think you need to worry. I'm new here too but post mostly about #edtech and #education. I picked this server because the STEM theme was closest to what I was posting about. No one has said anything negative. As long as you abide by the server terms of use, I think you're all good. 😃
