The paragraph appears to suggest that scientists are the problem. However, without the science cultures would not even know there was a climate problem.
We need a culture that forms it's ideas using the evidence. Lay people don't know how to do that.
For example, show me the empirical evidence (nobody can) that suggests "spiritual" is based on reality ( folk belief isn't evidence)
