there's a certain injustice to the fact that i've been working out for an hour (~500 calories) a day and i still can't eat whatever the heck i want

i've been doing this since November and at no point has anyone come and magically given me one of those "i can eat two hamburgers and still be super thin" metabolisms

@ktemkin Because it just does not work that way - people just fool themselves that it's a magic metabolism thing. If you properly count calories, you quickly realise that you'll never get there by exercising more alone (unless you exercise A LOT). Calories restriction is the only thing which really works. On the other hand, getting to positive terms with one's own body is another healthy thing. Weight loss/management is not an easy project for anybody. Take care and good luck there!
