@piggo The problem is that later there are still other things to read later still, so you never find time to process the stuff left for later - there is no later! 😛
My "Read it Later" is a Text-to-Speech app. As I am commuting on a bike a lot, or just walking my dog, the thing (the phone) then reads the stuff to me in a sequence without me interfering. That's the only way I managed to get to eventually process those "read it later" pieces.
@piggo I use Voice Aloud Reader by Hyperionics: https://www.hyperionics.com/atVoice/
My understanding is that it uses Google TTS engine underneath and that is immensely configurable (voices, pitch, accents, etc.) It does automatic recognition of languages, so it picks a suitable voice for you. And surprisingly, it works very well on non-English texts too - including Czech.
I even "read" novels from Project Gutenberg this way. It's of course still somewhat "machine"-like, but it's getting better and better. Intonation (probably based on reading interpunction) is so good sometimes, that it transfers the tension from the content quite well. All in all, very usable for me. Still far from proper audiobooks, but getting close enough...
