My dad called this morning to tell me my mother died earlier today. She was about to have a dialysis session and her body just gave out.

I'm glad it was a peaceful end. He quality of life had been so poor that we'd decided just a few days ago that the best thing for her would be to discontinue dialysis and let her slip away quietly. That's what she wanted as well.

What actually happened was better than a drawn-out dead. I'm glad she had a quick and easy passing.
