Samsung’s “smart home” app has rendered itself useless. It insists that I agree to their privacy policy, which I can’t do without setting my birthdate, which I can’t do without agreeing to the privacy policy…
Further to the Internet of Shit, I got a new LG washing machine today. It has some godforsaken internet-connected thing that I want no part of, but I have to use their app to do anything like turn it off. But when I use their app to add it via its QR code, the app informs me that the product is not supported. They printed the manual, made the app, added the QR code sticker…but didn’t actually create the technical functionality.
