If you're wondering about whether prosecuting trump is a good idea because it might not lead to a conviction, or the trumpy judge might throw it out, or a future president Ivanka might commute or pardon him... read this from @Popehat and then see how you feel. https://open.substack.com/pub/popehat/p/jack-smith-donald-trump-and-the-kobayashi?utm_source=direct&r=a0tu&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
The sponsor for my newsletter for the next couple issues had to pull out! If you/your org/etc want a cheap sponsorship, happy to offer it (next issue comes out tomorrow night/Monday morning depending on your timezone)!
As hundreds of thousands of federal employees and members of the military know… if we deliberately took home a single one of the documents listed in the Trump indictment… we would take the plea and do 20 years. The law is clear. If we showed it to people, we’d do life. We ALL know that. Why the hell isn’t Trump in prison right now?
Hey all! Like so many others right now I am fleeing the large social media platforms and discovering the Fediverse for the first time! I’m either an an engineer or a software developer - depending on whose asking - in the Energy sector. I’m from Michigan originally but temporarily based in #taiwan for my wife’s job. I love road #cycling , #homebrewing , #cooking , various aspects of tech, and of course Sci-Fi.
I suppose that’ll be my first pass at an #introduction !
Hello #Mastodon 👋 ! I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Memphis.

I am untenably disappointed in how Reddit is giving 3rd party devs only 30 days to implement “fuck you” pricing changes to their API

I quit twitter when they shut down tweetbot, and will quit Reddit if they force Apollo to shut down at the end of the month. 🔪
GM’s EVs will get access to Tesla’s Supercharger network in 2024
GM EV drivers will need a dongle at first; NACS ports will show up in 2025.
HUGE!
General Motors follows Ford to adopt Tesla's NACS charging standard.
This means that DC fast charging should be reliable and easy to find, regardless of the brand of car you drive.

I used Sparrow Mail and it was the best. Then Google bought it, shut it down after integrating it into Gmail. I used Tweetie and it was the best. Then Twitter bought it, ruined it. I used Tweetbot and it was the best. Then Twitter shut it down, along with Twitterrific and everything else. I used Alien Blue and it was the best, but then Reddit bought it and absolutely destroyed it.
I use Apollo, and it's the best, but Reddit also had to ruin another good thing.
