Wave of anti-trans attack in progress on #threads - someone has figured out to game the algorithm so it's in a high proportion of people's “For You” feeds. Not clear if it's a moderation failure or if Threads is ok with this stuff.
@timbray I am not on threads, but I am (barely) on instagram and it has been feeding me carousels of thumbnails of threads posts and yesterday one was vile and transphobic. I can't figure out any way to block these previews and I can't downvote or even go on there and yell at the person (which is probably good). But it's one-way transphobia broadcast at me from a social network I deliberately didn't join. I hate it.
