I feel that a CW is important if the thing under discussion actually causes someone trauma.
On the other hand, "Everyone is talking about X, and I'm tired of it, so they need to post with a CW" seems a little... Karen-ish.
One of the first things I started doing when I got here was figure out how to mute hashtags and phrases I'm not interested in.

@ridetheory That's how I've been feeling. It seems a little excessive when it seems that the site only shows you content if you're interested in it anyway.. past NSFW I feel like it should just be up to whether the poster feels like giving the "common courtesy."
