@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social this meme can be applied to all human constructs. What we need to do is accept the faults of any system, and work to minimize them. We can't do that if we hold any system up as "the best". There are conditions that make a military dictatorship "the best" option. And times when Capitalism, Communism, and Anarchy are the best choices.
The real problem is that people think having or destroying capitalism in some way would solve the world's problems.
We all know the population on this planet is untenable at this point in time which makes blaming a social construct as responsible is just low level thinking. We are good at one thing alone and that is low level thinking, but I digress.
The entire problem is the - blame- part. It keeps you arguing about the past but the unfortunate reality is that it does nothing about the problem or the future.
So my solution is to post this video that I highly recommend the world watches. Its entertaining.

This is why I am PRO abortion. Besides the obvious, woman have sole rights to their body and no one else does.
I am very very pro abortion and dont feel people should be allowed to get pregnant unless meeting certain criteria, which wouldnt be hard, but it does include parenting classes.

Sorry, I know my opinion is not popular. However we have already grossly overpopulated this planet and spend a vast majority of time saying MORE BABIES. I have a problem with that existentially
@LaNaehForaday , I agree with you the issue exists, I just question the methods to address it. Ending child tax credits might be a better alternative, at least for any child past the second one. No more payments to people who are nothing but contributors to the problem.
How about China's method? Only one child. It has been lifted now but in the most gross of terms, it worked. And not only did it work it has had an overall effect on the entire population in that most people no longer aspire to have the big families they did in the past because everyone needed labor. None of it is easy. It is not going to get any easier, especially if we dont stat curbing the number of new inhabitants we invite to life.
@LaNaehForaday , I would say China faced an unprecedented crisis. As I have tried to make clear in this thread, NOTHING, no system of government, no laws, should be outright rejected and each has it's time and place where it may be the best option, and at other times and places, the worst. Right now, the China policy, if applied to the USA, would be a massive mistake. In my opinion.
