I'm curious about the numbers for corrective surgery performed at birth to assign a newborn as either male or female, when born with abnormal genitalia. This is a rather significant number of babies, as many as 1.7% of births showing intersex traits. And a minimum of 1 in 2000 births being hermaphroditic.
Are states that ban any trans care for children also banning any corrective surgery in all babies? I have yet to see any discussion of this issue, even though it is arguably a much bigger issue. At least by the numbers...

I just got a random text message from someone in LA asking me out for Italian. I answered "New phone, who dis?" What I hoped was it was the person who had randomly texted me years ago, and we struck up a friendship that lasted a couple of years, until my phone crashed and I lost her number. *sigh*

Wikipedia is now on Mastodon, at @wikipedia!
They've taken an interesting approach here, as it is an account run by the community, where everyone can contribute (explanation here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/@Wikipedia). At the same time, it is verified on the official homepage of wikipedia.org, as you can see in the screenshot.
Personally, I think this suits the spirit of the fediverse that the Wikipedia account is not a PR department, but community members building something together!
