@marcelias that's not how voting works.
@dragonsidedd @marcelias it's literally not. Here's how voting works:
- A vote for Trump is a vote for Trump.
- A vote for Biden is a vote for Biden.
- A non-vote is a vote for nothing because it's a vote that doesn't exist.
- A vote for [insert whoever] is a vote for [insert whoever]
Absolutely baffling that people are too retarded to understand this. 🤯
@dogzilla
In the very real world we face, Trump faces a better than even chance of winning.
Whatever the outcome in '24, the struggle against fascism will continue for a long time.
Once this election is over Democrats MUST take the time for a thorough forensic analysis of the Democratic Party's decades-long history of failure.
@JoshuaACasey @dragonsidedd @marcelias
@JoeChip @JoshuaACasey @dragonsidedd @marcelias I agree, maybe even split the party in two, institute naked-choice voting, overturn Citizen’s United, implement workable federal anti-gerrymandering legislation, limit political advertising to 6 weeks before an election…there’s a *lot* of easy reforms.
But none of it is relevant if Americans hand MAGA a victory next November.
Does it strike no one as insane to believe that someone alienated enough to vote for West would have otherwise have voted for Biden?
@JoshuaACasey @dragonsidedd @marcelias You’re thinking of a nonexistent hypothetical abstract world where it does indeed work like that.
Unfortunately, in the very real world we will face next November, where Biden and Trump are the only viable candidates, what others have described is the reality.
