Let's be clear:

A vote for No Labels is a vote for Trump.
A vote for Jill Stein is a vote for Trump.
A vote for Cornel West is a vote for Trump.
A vote for Robert Kennedy is a vote for Trump.
Not voting is a vote for Trump.

A vote for Biden & Democrats is a vote for democracy.

@marcelias Also, Democrats are right-wingers that hate the American people just like the Republicans. Fuck them both.

@JoshuaACasey @marcelias There will be no revolution. There will just be fascism. And here’s the news flash, your life will suck just as much as everyone else’s if it happens.

@Pineywoozle @JoshuaACasey @marcelias hmmm, when Repubs are openly fascist and saying things like "We're gonna lock up kids, it's gonna be glorious" and the Dems are constantly saying things like "We need a strong [fascist] party in this country," allowing the fascists to install all the judges they want, quietly enacting fascist policies like building the border wall, refusing to apply the 14th amendment to kick out insurrectionists...it's really not a stretch to say that a vote for Democrats is a vote for further enabling the fascist takeover.
Calling them a force for democracy in this country? Now that's a real stretch

@sleepfreeparent @JoshuaACasey @marcelias Don’t strain yourself shoveling that garbage. No one’s going to pay attention to it. Dems aren’t doing any of the things that you’re saying they’re doing.

@sleepfreeparent @JoshuaACasey @marcelias I read your articles & they don’t say what you claim. A strong Republican Party isn’t one made up of fascists, 1 deal to move some judges isn’t acting to install “all” the judges, I didn’t agree with the wall but I don’t know all the whys & where fores & neither do you, Saying it’s not the state AGs who will decide but rather it’s going to be up to the Supreme Court isn’t refusing to enforce the 14th. #Propaganda #farL

@Pineywoozle @JoshuaACasey @marcelias you're the one who was just saying "There will be no revolution. There will just be fascism." And now you're saying that equating a strong Republican party with a strong fascist party is misleading. Well, it isn't.

And look how quickly "Biden isn't building the border wall" becomes "I don't know why he's building the border wall and neither do you, there must be a good reason!" No, there isn't a good reason, there's a bad reason and you know what it is.

And no the judge thing wasn't a one-time deal, Dems did that repeatedly, giving Republicans presidents a pass on judicial nominations while Repubs went out of their way to block every single Dem judicial nomination with every crooked trick. Across multiple administrations. And then they whine about the supreme court full of Repubs that they helped to put there, when Dems have made no attempt to eject a justice who gave material support to a literal insurrection. If they made an attempt, made their case to the American people, and had it blocked, I would respect that. But Dems repeatedly choose to not make any attempt, and they get no respect from me at all

@Pineywoozle @JoshuaACasey @marcelias I really meant what I said before: Imagine a world in which Dems were actively trying to enable the fascists to win, how would it look different from this one?

Pick a policy or issue. Think of a really bad thing Dems could be doing to enable fascism or further empower the Republican party, in a world in which that was the Dems open and stated goal. Then check: have they actually been doing that here, in this world?

I'll go first. Dems would work to hamstring the labor movement, because fascists hate unions and a strong labor movement can actually resist fascism. Let's check...oh yeah there was that time just last year when they crushed the railworkers' strike, paving the way for a string of massive rail disasters caused by exactly the issues the workers wanted to strike over.

Ok, your turn

@sleepfreeparent @JoshuaACasey @marcelias Nah, we’re done. You don’t like Dems? Do the hard work for change. Right now all you’re doing is helping to elect Rs and I’m not interested in helping you do it. I genuinely hope you work for change. I also hope you realize that bashing Dems right now is exactly what the GOP & Putin have worked very hard to get you to do.

@Pineywoozle @JoshuaACasey @marcelias I've done the hard work, I've been to my state house, campaigning for change. I've been out getting petition signatures year after year. Do you know who put up the fiercest resistance? Elected Dems. They'd always talk a good game, but then when it's time for the committee vote, just enough of them have to step out of the room for a moment, what a coincidence. Repubs didn't bother to fight us because they know they have Dems guarding the left flank. Only time you can get Dems to do anything positive is when you shame them with overwhelming popular support that they can't ignore anymore

@sleepfreeparent @Pineywoozle @JoshuaACasey @marcelias

I've done that hard work, too. I went all the way to Philadelphia in 2016, and I saw how Bernie's delegates were treated there.

Establishment Democrats would rather lose, on purpose, than let progressives threaten their corporate purse strings. They'd rather feed us to the Republicans, on purpose, than do their jobs as representatives. They'd rather help a Trump win than let a Bernie run. They're feeding the same monsters they're being paid to "fight".

@violetmadder @sleepfreeparent @Pineywoozle @marcelias Let's not forget. Biden promised $1200 stimulus/survival pandemic checks if Democrats won the Georgia senate race. Then they gave us $600.

Also, I just saw this really good twitter thread today twitter.com/AshleyLatke/status
