@lucifargundam ur keyboard is crap, should have grabbed an ortho instead!
@lucifargundam @L29Ah I'm designing something like an ergodox that's attached to the sides of my body so i can walk around typing // http://0x0.st/ikmN.jpg
I'm pissed at ergodox for its insane thumb keys and the lack of a pointer.
@L29Ah do you do a lot of walking or is this just an optional feature? How are you going to secure it to your body?
@lucifargundam @L29Ah I'm just sick of the current market offerings for portable computing devices and still want to be plugged in 24/7, utilizing a head mounted display as data output.
Something like https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1Lj9KNVXXXXXqXpXXq6xXFXXX8/Multifunctional-Military-vintage-Man-Woman-Waist-Pack-Weapons-and-Ride-Leg-Bag-of-Waterproof-Drop-Utility.jpg probably, with an option to move the halves to the front easily, to better accommodate for the sitting posture.
@L29Ah correct me if I'm wrong, but perhaps you might be instead interested in gloves that sync with the headset so you can type on a virtual keyboard?
@lucifargundam @L29Ah Gloves is an interesting approach, but they lack a proper feedback, and in fact they're much more powerful than a keyboard if we're going to measure the degree of bending of each finger and provide the feedback via some actuators, thus requiring a heavy UI redesign for optimal use, and would kinda suck anyway if we try to emulate a qwerty keyboard with them anyway, as a proper keyboard also utilizes wrist and arm movements to encode information. I'm not ready to undertake such a project myself.
@lucifargundam @L29Ah Also gloves would interfere with other activities.
@L29Ah I beg to differ and I'm also building an ergodox as well.
