In a local Tooting #curry house (sadly burned down), the old woman in a #sari who cleaned the floor was a man with a moustache. She/He/They regularly flicked their head scarf over their face and was generally unnoticed. I noticed them and when I asked the staff, who were very friendly, they were a bit embarrassed. I traced the sari wearing uncle to an extreme form of #Bhakti #devotion, which is different to the #Hijra.
Anyone know about this?
I remember staring right at them when the very masculine face was exposed, they shrank into a void of awareness (best way I can describe it)
