"The aim should be to obtain the maximum of well-being with the minimum of consumption.  The cultivation and expansion of needs, is the antithesis of wisdom.  It is also the antithesis of freedom and peace..." ~E.F. Schumacher

My top 5 interview tips:

1. Be yourself.

2. Be clear.

3. Be humble.

4. Be curious.

5. Be genuine.

What if the “alternative lifestyle” is actually the normal lifestyle and mainstream living is the “alternative”? #alternativeLife #newage #perspective

Avian Flu

("you can’t get infected with avian flu by eating fully cooked poultry or eggs")

The Guardian

The NHS

Wales

England

My questions:

Is it safer to eat cages birds for meat and eggs then?
Is it better or worse to buy frozen chicken, turkey? Bearing in mind that some countries have different strains (US also has H7N2)

Nut roast anyone? (Recipes are welcomed)

Listening to Booker T Jones play Green Onions. No big deal. Except HUGE DEAL.

Looking for new friends who like #writing and #poetry and other creative endeavors to follow and interact with in the way I did on the internet 20 years ago.

The #QueenOfSwords inverse

Lay down the sword. You don't have to keep fighting. It is okay to rest. You don't have to be constantly on guard, on the defensive.
Believe in the hand extended in friendship. Everything doesn't come with a catch.
Sometimes, there is justice in this world. Sometimes, people mean well. Sometimes, there is reward, love, companionship, friendliness.
This is that day.

Queen that you are, you will always have a hand on the hilt. But also trust its reward.

I do not want to think, yet i do. My wish is disrespected by my human brain.
I could be a cat, then i would be fed, but not expected to think or even be nice.
I could knock stuff over, eat well despite that... oh wait, i invented billionaires again. Never mind.

I hate my life, and i hate yours too.
I hate to hate, and i hate that...
Is #Rammstein here?

After years and years, I have finally... powered on my #sun server.
Hey, you like old hardware, right?
Too bad that, for some fucking reason, I decided to change the (predictable) passwords to something completely unknown that I never jotted down and have completely forgotten about since then.
Damn you, past me!
Also I can't figure out Minicom. Yay.

What are your thoughts on reading multiple books at once? Do you have a system to manage your different readings? I've always been a "one book at a time" reader but I want to experiment.
