The Yule tree is up! I'm lucky that I have enough acreage to cut my own tree every year, and this one is special.

Seven years ago, I planted 25 balsam firs on the top of a rise where several ill spruce fell and made a clearing. So this is the first year I've actually harvested my own tree for the solstice offering.

After the season, the trunk will be cut off for next year's Yule log, and the rest will be chopped for compost and returned to the earth where it came from: this is an integral part of the sacrificial rite.

This week I have been working daily on the app; from creating a new social media presence, all the way up to creating my first short video clip on .

The initial goal was to go full from development all the way to social media presence. The only place where I lapsed is on the social media part and diverged onto Instagram. The main reason being that most future users live on that platform.
