Who are the last actual rockstars? Folks commonly recognized as celebrity rock musicians regardless of knowing their music or not.
I feel like the only obvious ones are:
- Travis Barker
- Haley Williams
Runners up, maybe Andrew WK, Oli Sykes, Pete Wentz, the Madden bros.
Could also make the case for Jared Leto or Jack Black, but in both cases I think they’re more known for acting, and many if not most don’t even know they play music.
@chrishudsonjr Dave Grohl. Hands down.
@LouisIngenthron sure but 90s folk seem hardly the most recent rock stars.

@chrishudsonjr You haven't heard of the Foo Fighters?
The fact that he was in an iconic nineties band and left it to found an iconic 2000s band that is still playing today is pretty modern.
