@mentallyalex @Eamon1916 I don't know the full policy, but I do specifically remember my local police department advertising limited-time no-questions-asked buybacks on social media.
@mentallyalex @Eamon1916 I mean, I'm a gun owner myself, and I'd be the first to say that the NRA is insane and that laws in certain deep red states are downright irresponsible (not even close to common sense).
But everything you've advocated so far actually does sound like common sense, and I think a majority of gun owners in this country would agree.

Responsible gun owners and people who are familiar with these weapons rarely agree that current policy is sufficient.
@LouisIngenthron I'm glad there is at least something there.
I sound like an anti-gun person and I'm really not. I know a lot about them actually. I just think the systems in place are vague at best and counted on a lot of 'common sense' which unfortunately isn't something that exists any longer.
