I made water-drinking stations for bees. They love it!
During the hot, dry part of the year, you can really help your local bee population by providing water. Fill a large bowl with stones of different sizes and water. Float a few sticks or corks on the surface. Refill the water when it evaporates.

@Rayne_Hall_Author Right, but wouldn't this standing water also be an excellent spawning ground for mosquitos?

@LouisIngenthron The water here evaporates so fast, I need to replenish it daily. This means, the water is always fairly fresh.
Mosquitoes need stagnant water for spawning.
I guess it depends on where you live. If your climate is very humid, and the water doesn't evaporate, it may be a good idea to change the water from time to time.
