When I moved to ten years ago, I got used to regular evening in the pretty quick.

But it definitely seems like, lately, they're much more intense. They used to be wet, but tame. Now, they regularly have gusts strong enough to take down my awning/flagpole and a chunk of the wood siding it was attached to.

If this is any indication of what kind of a fall we'll have, I'm really not looking forward to hurricane season.

Then again, I'm a Floridian, so "not looking forward to season" just means I'll buy a little more bottled water and call it a day.
