Could the failure of #Twitter have been the point all along?
I'm still quite skeptical, but with each new seemingly poor decision & "mistake," I can't help but wonder...
@Sheril Occam’s Razor: take Saudi money to flood the zone with sh!t because the town square is getting too uppity. Also, #NeverForget.
@paninid I'm not saying it's totally implausible, but his ex-wife urging him to fight woke-ism still doesn't come close to making it the simplest solution.
@LouisIngenthron the simplest solution is to usually follow the money. He only put up a portion of the $44 billion.

@paninid It didn't "come" from Saudi Arabia. They already owned that chunk of Twitter and just rolled it over during the acquisition.
A vast conspiracy to stifle speech is most definitely not the simplest solution. The rich guy being an idiot is a much simpler solution.
@LouisIngenthron I actually don’t think it’s a “vast conspiracy”, I think it’s likely a handful of chats with other rich guys.
Rich guys who fund bot farms to pay attention to another rich guy and give him a terminal case of brainworms.
