More and more, I'm convinced that the stock market is the root of evil in our society.

99% of businesses that go public immediately begin the enshittification process.

Meanwhile, the rich use them as a piggy bank to extract more wealth out of the economy without actually contributing anything.

The stock market doesn't seem to ever make life better for those who produce real value for our economy... it only enriches the leeches.

What would our world look like if we didn't allow stock trading and we actually enforced anti-trust laws?
