The whole "[city name] strong" thing that happens after every mass shooting pisses me off.

I get that it's supposed to be a symbol of solidarity, but its mad-lib nature and commanding tone just sound more like a crass and hollow demand for people to shut up and cope.

The fact that every city just slaps their name onto the same brand formula just reinforces that notion.
