@arraybolt3 I do use linux, but only for headless servers. I use Windows for everything else (and even use Windows Server pretty often).
The reason is because everything is more difficult and has more "gotcha" catches in Linux.
Want to FTP a file to a directory? You have to set up a bunch of permissions first through the OS (and even then sometimes it won't let you).
Want to edit a text file? Good luck, you're back in the '70s before usability features were invented.
The last major server I built on Linux would fill a system "page file" with 100s of gigabytes and have to be deleted every week or the whole OS would crash.
Now, to be fair, I haven't tried linux desktop since the mid-2000s when it was really janky. I've heard it's gotten better, but linux has bit me in the ass so many times professionally that I don't have any interest in fighting with it just to do basic computer stuff.
Plus, since Windows 10, Windows has just been awesome. I have ease of use, reliability (this computer crashes *maybe* once a year), and I still have the flexibility to do things like overclock or run linux docker containers.
