Two generations of ordinary Russians seem to have fallen through the cracks of experience of their own parents under brutal repression, incarceration & extermination, (Stalin), murderous foreign aggression (the Great Patriotic War), & a political system that institutionalised lying to superiors (Chernobyl), to cheer their present leader as he showers missiles on their neighbours & erstwhile comrades.
What is the World to make of a People seemingly so immune to the lessons of their own history?
