Since we are all recovering from visiting our relatives, families, and people we owe tithings...I figured I would share a funny truth about me.

I suck at television remotes. Like, it's painfully and hilarious watching me try to work a remote control. I have no idea why, I have spent 30yrs in technology. I've been considered a SME (subject matter expert) in business, legally, amongst friends...

I have worked with databases, programming languages and advanced products for decades with little issue. Give me a television remote and you might as well ask me to program the moon. Tbf, I'd have an easier time programming the moon than I would navigating to whatever program you claim is "right there" and I should just hit the up button. You won't believe me, but I really did think I was hitting the proper arrow.

This isn't a new thing. When I first got remote controls and we could switch from A and B (remember those?) I never could.

Remotes and maps are constantly flummoxing for me. I've often wondered if it was somehow correlated or if that is a diagnostic element I have never tried to find the cause of...

But I thought you might enjoy knowing it.

@mentallyalex I mean, part of that is likely driven by the fact that TV app UI/UX is some of the most underdeveloped crap on the market.

Consider that I can intuitively navigate a complex 3D space while actively shooting and defending on a 14-button playstation controller, but my TV remote has 45 buttons and I've only ever used about 5 of them.

@LouisIngenthron I am so curious about this game you play!!

But yes, I'm with you. It's the remotes they are just terrible.
