@GayDeceiver I'm counting on them just shorting out and crashing into whatever they were driving next to.
I hope there are limitations on what they are allowed to do once they are chipped. You can't have a CHL with a weed card, hopefully they'll restrict the chipped similarly.
I'm curious what happens when I find a sonic frequency that distracts their chips. I probably won't be able to hear it but I'm curious what it'll do to them when I turn it on.
I fully intend to discover what happens, just fyi.
*evil laugh*
Please do the right thing, Alex, and share this information in an open, accessible and transparent way so we can all make sonic blasters that frustrate the shit out of the chippies. <- HA! New use for that word!
I can see how this tech could be revolutionary, especially for folks with disabilities, but Elon doesn't have much in the way of "for the good of humanity" bona-fides. I would never.
@helplessduck trust me, if the chips come out publicly I will absolutely
Spend an inordinate about of time and energy figuring out how to show people why this is bad.
Anything I find would absolutely be shared here.
@GayDeceiver
I wonder if we would feel differently about it if it weren't a (if not the WORST) techbro bringing it about? I would like nothing more than to do a firmware update on my GMA so she could get her sight back. There's obvious concerns about it, and obvious advantages regardless of who makes the thing, but "move fast and break shit" isn't really a great approach to take when we're talking about implanting computers into human beings.
@helplessduck @mentallyalex @GayDeceiver Yep, I'd never hook anything into my brain that Musk touched, but I am absolutely open to enhancing my body with technology. I already have artificial lenses in my eyes and I already enhance my cognition on a daily basis with artificially-processed chemicals (namely caffeine). In that context, implanting electronics into my brain seems like a logical next step on a path I've been traveling a long time.
@helplessduck @mentallyalex @GayDeceiver Yeah, but not all of us are.
The key marker for a tech like this being safe is when it's developed, not as a pipe dream from a douchebag for enhancing the able-bodied, but rather as a medicinal tool for closing gaps and restoring physical/mental deficits among the disabled.
