@cuibonobaby Yeah, because the NRA blows. You'd be surprised how many gun owners hate them (myself included). They aren't a lobbyist for gun owners like they pretend... they're lobbyists for *gun manufacturers* and that leads them to push unsafe initiatives that will sell more guns.

TLDR: Fuck the NRA.

@maggiejk I assume that either guns are exempt from this rule or the NRA hasn't heard of it yet.

@FrankPasquale You could also accurately describe that separately as a "social problem" or a "media problem" so the fact that it happens on social media seems more like a symptom than a cause.

The main reasons why I went back to beef, though, were that the plant-based stuff was more expensive and (more importantly) wasn't any healthier, which most people assume it is. If either of those change, I'd be tempted to make the switch permanently.

@mentallyalex @RickiTarr Honestly, I think a big turning point for the plant-based stuff was when Burger King started selling them. That put them in the mainstream. The vat-grown-meat will need to have a similar event to take off.

@RickiTarr @mentallyalex Yep, and once you ground it up and turn it into a hamburger patty, it seems unlikely any of us would even be able to tell the difference!
