@trinsec Probably fine... at least on the way in...
@post When someone claims the sky is green, there's no point in expending effort to try to create doubt with logic.
Such a person is actively rejecting reality.
All you can do is call out their bullshit so more reasonable people don't see unrefuted lies and fall down the same rabbit hole.
@CarlG314 Yeah, that's about where I ended up too:
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian Propaganda
@post If you actually are that misguided and ignorant, then I do pity you.
But the fact that you adhered so closely to the Kremlin talking points led me to believe that you were working on their dime.
But, you're right. I forgot to take Hanlon's Razor into account. Sorry for assuming.
@thebigredbeanie @caseynewton Probably, yes. This is most likely a learned pattern based on which messages users marked as spam, not something that was intentionally programmed in. So it stands to reason that it would apply to any retailer with enough Gmail users.
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post No, you're not. If you were, then you'd at least have a more nuanced view. That the only talking points you're capable of regurgitating match the Kremlin's tells me that there's no point in continued argument with you.
It's like trying to argue with someone who insists the sky is green, not blue. The amount of evidence you had to ignore to arrive at your positions portends nothing but bad faith.
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post Also, nothing has been "kept" from me. Everything you mentioned, I've heard about and read the refutations. The latter are far more convincing and logical than the former, even objectively.
That's what's nice about the west. We believe in free speech, so we can openly refute the bullshit you're trying to push on us.
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post And now we've hit the "Ukrainian Nazis" talking point.
If I was playing Kremlin Talking Point Bingo, I'd have won three different times.
If you really want to convince people that you're not a Russian propagandist, then try occasionally making arguments that aren't 100% perfectly in line with the Kremlin all the time.
Like I said before, you're painfully transparent.
@post No, I just have an actual life that prevents me from arguing with Russian trolls 24/7.
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post Which part of that, exactly, are you arguing justifies Russia's genocidal attempt to aggressively conquer Ukraine?
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post You can try to play the chicken-and-egg game by claiming that Russia is attacking cities because Ukraine is defending cities while I argue that Ukraine is defending cities because Russia is attacking them... but the bottom line is that Ukraine wouldn't need to defend anything if Russia hadn't started its aggressive war of conquest in the first place, so we all know damn well which came first.
No, the *numerous* videos don't prove they're aiming at civilians. They just prove that they don't seem to mind hitting civilians over and over again and *strongly suggests* that they're aiming for them.
As for your last point, you're totally full of shit. I just pulled up RT's website. It's not censored at all here.
And I've watched the clips of Russia's state media frantically shutting down commentators who get a bit too far off the script and admit that maybe Russia isn't entirely blameless. And that's before we get into how many critics in Russia mysteriously fall out of upper-story windows.
You can claim that what you're repeating isn't Russian propaganda all you want. But the world has heard enough Russian propaganda at this point to know it when we hear it. It's as unmistakable as French snootiness and American hubris.
We see through you.
GTFO of other people's lands.
@adamconover Sounds like it may be an issue with itch's captcha integration then... Probably need to reach out to Itch. I'd try to repro if my deck still had any battery, but it's drained atm.
@adamconover I've been having all kinds of weird issues with my Deck lately.
Most are fixed by a hard reboot. Hold the power button twelve seconds to force a complete shutdown, then start it back up and try again.
Ukraine War: Refuting Russian propaganda
@post If it's easier to hit a missile when it's close to its target, and that forces Ukraine to place anti-air defenses in the city... then it logically follows that the cities *are* the target.
If Russia was only hitting military installations, that's where the defenses would be.
We've all seen the videos of their missiles hitting playgrounds with no interference from the Ukranians.
Your Russian propaganda isn't even internally consistent. It certainly isn't convincing.
@brody Don't forget Microsoft, in preparation for purchasing Activision.
Apparently 343 got gutted.
@web3isgreat It's insane that companies can loan all their money to a company that owns them and then declare bankruptcy. That should automatically put the parent company in bankruptcy too.
@BitterlyIndifferent I think for most, the goal is "make enough to pay the mortgage".
But, yeah, I mostly subscribe to that theory. It's hard to get to 10, though, much less 1,000, without marketing, though. People can't become fans of what they don't know about.
@yarrriv Nah, "The AI did it" isn't any more convincing than "the gun killed him".
In both cases, they're just tools wielded by humans. The humans who use the tool to cause harm are the ones liable for said harm.
