@xavierck It sounds like you're describing the system of the Wasteland or XCOM series. That's more common in TBS than TBRPG or TTRPGs. In TT, keeping track of the action points can quickly get tedious.
This is a strange error message from Unity:
"Non-convex MeshCollider with non-kinematic Rigidbody is no longer supported since Unity 5."
The last Unity 5 version was released in 2016. Why not just say that it's unsupported? Why advertise that the engine is getting less feature rich? Why chide developers for upgrading?
@trinsec They're both white substances with similar consistencies and salty/umami flavors that need to be refrigerated. Not identical by any stretch, but when you can safely interchange them in most chip dip recipes, that's close enough for me.
@SecurityWriter To avoid the human condition? Nowhere on Earth.
That said, they could start their own instance to maybe have a little more control.
I do also find it strange and deeply ironic that the infosec community is being run off by bad actors when the entire infosec industry is built on defending against bad actors.
@SecurityWriter I agree with your rant in its entirety, but also I wonder where those folks are planning to migrate to that they don't expect to see this behaviour...
That may be true for those on the extremes, but the folks in the middle don't like hypocrites. They're the audience for this kind of reporting.
@rhsanborn @thomholwerda @oldrawgabbit Yeah, and then you built your entire business around the bugs and flaws in that version and when it finally gets to the point where it only runs on operating systems that are no longer supported, the company either goes under, or pays someone like me $50K to fix the problem they created by not updating to save $400.
@rhsanborn @thomholwerda @oldrawgabbit That always happened. Back in the day, you'd have to spend $400 every year for the new edition and wait for it to arrive and then go through an hours-long install and upgrade process that could cause serious issues (so you had to run extensive backups first).
Today, you just pay $10/month and it's all handled for you.
@BlackAzizAnansi Is that really so different than how most progressives have treated the homeless for decades?
@EverydayMoggie @voron @fullyabstract I both attended and performed at Pulse several times prior to the shooting.
The community's reaction to that event, and their continued outpouring of solidarity and support to this day, bolsters my argument.
And, fwiw, the LGBTQ folks around here still turn up to gay clubs every night just fine. We aren't scared.
Besides, if your standard is "no lunatics commit unprovoked lone-wolf violence", then I don't think a single city in this entire country would qualify as "safe".
What is "correlation, not causation"?
@maggiemaybe @voron @fullyabstract Okay: (A) That law you're citing was written in 1951 to crack down on the Klan. (B) The only record I can find of someone being arrested for it was 4 years ago, and the charges were dropped. (C) It has applicability requirements that you failed to include in your screenshot (see below).
Sorry if I have so much privilege that I can actually google shit before posting it.
@bynkii You seem to have read a bunch of stuff I never wrote. Have fun beating that strawman. 🙄
