Managed to capture the #aurora #auroraborealis #northernlights last night from Mid #devon . It was an amazing spectacle. The pillars could be seen with the naked eye (but no colour), and these unedited photos from my #AppleiPhone14Pro show the beautiful colours of the display #iphonephotography . An unforgettable experience, and a rarity for this far south.

Currently studying ecology as part of my #OpenUniversity #NaturalScience degree. It forms part of the general science module #S112 so it’s only high level at this stage. This week’s individual project involves measuring Leaf Area Index of different parts of the world to identify the likely habitat. Whilst I'm still getting my head around navigating, I'm enjoying being a #NewUser of Mastadon. I can't describe it, but the entire vibe just feels...different. Less toxic. I'm searching for hashtags that are relevant to my interests, such as #drawing and coming across some fantastic artists to follow. It just feels nicer...I hope it stays that way. 🤞
