I began using Mastodon 4 weeks ago on the standard #MastodonApp After 2 wks, I heard about apps that might be more functional, so I downloaded #Metatext & used it side-by-side Mastodon. I preferred the simplicity of Mastodon at that time. Then, I forced myself to use only Metatext for a few days, & now I'm sold on it. Easy access to feeds, alt text is easier to write, edit is amazing, & notifications are more organized & accessible. Give it a try if you want greater functionality.
