I hate Capitalist Apologists.

There is no universe in which someone making 10 Million per year would decide to work less hard if their taxes were 70% than if their taxes were 15%. That's just not how greed and human nature works. If having $10 Million isn't enough for someone to say "actually, I think I'll just retire to a beach and have fruity drinks with umbrellas and golf every day for the rest of my life", they're going to keep working to amass wealth whether their marginal income tax rate is 5% or 95%. They want more, no matter what.

And even if some of them did decide to work less hard, there's going to billions more people who will now be able to do that work because they actually had good educations and healthcare and aren't sick or dead from poverty.

As you can see with COUNTLESS examples, from Elon to Trump, amassing billions isn't a marker of intelligence, talent or skill, it's having a start of a shitload of privilege, having no morals or scruples about fucking over other people, and getting lucky. That's it. We don't have to reward that kind of behavior as a society.
