A neighborhood eastern gray squirrel standing up in the backyard surveying the area.

It is the only squirrel I have seen in the neighborhood and sometimes I won't see it for 4 even 5 days. It's a very curious squirrel who just eats off the ground and does not climb on my feeders which I find very surprising.

I'll kick off by saying that I vehemently disagree with the #Reddit API changes/charges, but I can't see much chance of the 48 hour blackout working.

With Reddit getting ready for an IPO, backing down in the face of user action would send the message to investors that the company is vulnerable, however people returning after 48 hours will demonstrate that users don't care as long as they get their content fix.

People just need to take their business elsewhere (The #fediverse ).

Advance, the company that controls Reddit, would be wise right now to replace the CEO whose mismanagement and arrogance has led the moderators of 93% of all subreddits to go private in protest.

Put someone in place who realizes that the community made the service in every way that matters.
