I was just waking through a Walmart parking lot, and some kid (8 maybe?) says "what's up, random old dude?

And it bothered me.

But what reality bothers me is that it bothered me.

I've never really thought much about age and aging. I've always felt young in my own head, it hadn't really occurred to me that outwardly, that's changing.

Not a big deal, just interesting. Something to ponder.

It looks the lawsuits accusing #Tesla of engaging in systematic #racism at their Fremont, California factory aren't going away — Musk continues to tolerate it so it the abuse continues. If I was buying a car right now, I'd be looking to buy from pretty much any other EV vendor over Tesla.

The rate limiting incident in Twitter isn't really what pushed me over to use Mastodon more and more. Currently there is a hashtag on Twitter related to the French riots that's calling on the expulsion of all Muslim, African, and Arab immigrants from the entirety of Europe. The entirety and trending hashtag (at #2) is filled with images encouraging mass killings and lynchings of Arabs. There is no come back from this.

I've said it for ages: Abolish legacy admissions, force well-connected children of alumni and donors to compete on the basis of merit, and let's see how they do. By blocking non-logged-in access to #Twitter posts, Musk in one fell swoop broke millions of URLs around the world pointing at and ultimately promoting his site. Impressive. Most impressive.
