@StillIRise1963 1862 mindset? I have actually heard whites and people of color saying they were from "good stock," but I don't think I've heard anyone say anything like that for at least 40 years.

Your Political Rivals Aren’t as Bad as You Think: Here’s How Misunderstandings Amplify Hostility

My research shows that people are indeed consistently too pessimistic about their partisan counterparts. On both sides, people tend to overestimate the other side’s extremism, hostility, interest in political violence and selfishness. And the most affectively polarized people make the biggest mistakes.

Nearly 1/5 adults in the US say they have a family member who was killed by a gun, according to a study revealed on Tuesday.

This is highly disturbing. This is an epidemic. This is a preventable statistic.

The #GOP knows that Trump committed treason. What does that say about them?

The House Rep who’s done absolutely nothing for Ohio in his 15 years in office ignored his own subpoena to testify for his involvement in the insurrection and now uses the power of federal office as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee to subpoena Alvin Brag’s NY State investigation into Trump while possibly breaking laws for tampering and daring the courts to do anything about it.

Do you regularly nap?

Most of those who served on SCOTUS with Thomas, KNEW HE WAS COMPROMISED, certainly Roberts. He KNEW & ignored it, so Roberts is just as culpable🚨: Clarence & Ginni did all of those things, over & over again, for years & they did those things bc Crow was buying: If Roberts was aware that Thomas was enjoying all the perquisites of billionairehood & turned a blind eye, that’s bad. If Thomas pretended to do the RV-across-the-States thing while actually vacationing... worse-: https://gregolear.substack.com/p/clarence-thomas-and-other-crow-holdings

Los Angeles is suing a journalist and a police watchdog group in an attempt to claw back public records that it had released to them after police invented a new definition of the word "undercover": https://theintercept.com/2023/04/11/los-angeles-lawsuit-lapd-headshots/

In short: LA handed over a dataset of LAPD headshots to a journalist as part of a Public Records settlement. Stop LAPD Spying Coalition launched a searchable database of LAPD cops using the data at https://watchthewatchers.net/. For example, here's Police Chief Moore.

After the LAPD police union noticed, they flipped their shit. Now, they've convinced the city of LA to sue Ben Camacho, the journalist, and the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, trying to claw back the public records. But it's doomed to fail. The data is all over the internet, including published by DDoSecrets: https://ddosecrets.substack.com/p/release-lapd-headshots-269-mb

Several First Amendment experts have denounced the lawsuit as legally meritless. "Once the government gives you information in good faith, you have the right to publish it under the First Amendment. This is not even a close case." -David Loy, legal director of the First Amendment Coalition https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2023-04-06/la-officials-sue-journalist-activist-group-after-accidentally-releasing

Hi #introduction

My name is Adam and I'm autistic. I like to write down what's going on in my head, and occasionally talk about it on here.

I'm not one of those guys that can stand in front of people and talk autism, though one day I'd like to be. Put me in a room with pen and paper alone however, that's me.

Moved over followers, but lost all follows/posts. If I'm not following you back again, give me a nudge.

Thank you for having me here.

BREAKING: Jim Jordan HIT with DEVASTATING lawsuit by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. The gloves are off! Here’s what you need to know: https://youtu.be/O1RsvILNqYY

Most artists I know are not neuro-typical (me too). Some have OCD, social phobias, PTSD, physical challenges & more. ART is the balm that soothes us, but it's more than that. And we need support! If we use more hashtags (or certain ones), please understand we just want to be SEEN. If we post a link, know we hope you might COLLECT so we can survive. If our posts look formulaic consider it may be OCD and NOT spam. #Kindnessmatters

Which event over the last 8 years would you least believe happened if you hadn’t lived through it and so know for a fact it was true?

Floral in vase, pen & ink. This painting was fun to do. First I put down areas of color with ink. After the ink dried, I allowed the color shapes to tell me what I should draw. Think I'm going to make more art like this. The process is so freeing, you never know what the ink blobs will inspire you to draw!

Am I crazy?
The idea for this painting had been in my head for a long time. When I was planning an art exhibition in 2019, there was this one wall that was perfect for this painting in my head on a large canvas. I started painting and managed to finish the painting just one day before the exhibition started.
