My wife just informed me my chest hair is going gray... I said thanks for pointing out my aging, I'll return the favor some day. She said I could shave it and laughed, she laughed because I'm as hairy as f*cking Chewbacca so shaving would take sheep shears and forever! 🤪 I'm also gray on top and beard so I guess I'll be completely hairless with her method. 🤦

Mike Pence is apparently hitting up über-conservative Catholics at the Napa Institute, ($2800/ticket), filling his campaign coffers & greasing campaign wheels by focusing on his and Trump’s “pro-life” victories.

I don’t know about you, but “pro-life” to me is not separating migrant families especially without a reunification plan, cutting food and healthcare programs, dismantling women’s & LGBTQIA rights, and mis-managing a pandemic to the tune of a million+ lives US lost.

@darth @Nordstahl So, everyone uses the “favorite” function differently. But for most people it is an acknowledgment that they read they post, and that they wanted to express some feeling or thoughts with the writer. This could be anything from, “Good post” to “I agree” to “isn’t that terrible” to “this is one of my favorite posts.”

I like all of those reactions, which is why I value favorites just below an actual reply that tells me what they think or feel. Because I am here for social connection.

Boosts are at the bottom of my list for a number of reasons. I’m not trying to Build an Audience or Reach More People. Nothing wrong with those things and I know some people here are doing those things. More power to them! But boosts just say to me, “I think my followers might like to see this.” That’s nice, especially if it comes along with a favorite or reply, but it’s not as important to me as having conversations and building community.
