Last week, impish Molly hid Professor Lohmeier's best (and only) coffee mug.

He resorted to drinking his instant decaf out of a small glass tank that had once held turtles, and most recently dispensed leftover pens.

Professor Lohmeier's memorial service is at 12:00 on Saturday, November 25, at the Eagle Ridge Funeral Home.

Someone today told me hating the rich was a "tired old trope."
First of all, like most people on the internet, you have no idea what "trope" means.
Secondly, true things can also be heard many times, and the rich being monsters is one of those true things. I fail to see what's "tired" about despising greed. This sounds like a person who thinks politics should work like fashion
So I guess what I'm saying is fuck off, #eattherich.

Biologist J. B. S. Haldane once quipped that if there's a God, the Creator seems to have “an inordinate fondness for beetles.”

Why? Well, 1/2 of species described in #science are insects (among eukaryotes). Of those, >1/3 are beetles, at ~400,000 known species.

I’m fond of these critters bc I began my career working with Plagiodera versicolora, a particularly cute beetle.

Now some entomologists suspect there may be just as many parasitic wasps but that’s a tale for another day.

I remember reading somewhere that SpaceX has an entire Elon Management Division to keep him away from the people who actually do stuff.
