Some still argue that abandoning Twitter is a form of cowardice or retreat — giving up the digital public square to the trolls and propagandists. But staying implies complicity with the breakdown of constructive discourse and the race to the bottom.

1982, roommates David Grundman and his roomate decided to go out in the desert with their guns and shoot up a saguaro cactus.

Grundman shot one arm of the 100+ year old cactus so much it fell off-- but in a rare moment of instant justice the heavy arm fell *on* on him, crushing him to death. :)

I like stories of plants that get revenge.

I had my childhood vaccinations, but my employers at different hospitals found I had no antibodies in my blood. I have had three boosters and still no immunity. I hope if I was exposed that I just would not catch measles, but I don’t think that is how the disease cycle works, so I try to avoid exposure.

Today's protest in #Granada against the #Genocide of #Palestinians was lively, but not as well attended as those a few weeks ago.

It's truly winter now, and weather is grey and chilly today. That will discourage some from coming out. But I think a lot of folks have stopped paying attention, too.

That being said, it was rewarding to be out with this crew today. I didn't know any of the other #Flag bearers, but it didn't matter.
