Twitter said it is removing SMS 2FA for non-paying accounts by March 20, in what is one of the stupidest security decisions made by a company in recent memory.

@zackwhittaker did they do this with all 2fa or just SMS based 2fa? Back when I was on the site I recognized SMS 2fa as flawed and used a security token. If Twitter is removing all 2fa except for paying subscribers that is the real story.

Only SMS 2FA is affected.
