Just got off the phone with a friend in Chicago who tested + for #COVID19 last night. Trying to find Paxlovid now, but no open test-to-treat sites in the city and local Urgent Care won't prescribe. This seems wrong in so many ways. Any ideas?
This is not a low barrier service, made for people who may not have a primary care provider, or insurance. This is making me angry.
Friend is now bicycling two miles in 19 degree (F) weather to the Urgent Care that will prescribe.
