No. I will never find any merit in saying that infection builds immunity. It's irresponsible and unforgivable for anyone in the health sector to even promote this. It's clearly a message used to cover what is now being made obvious--their lack of knowledge in a field they chose.
@ParkinJim it's not even a question for me given the risk that comes with being infected. Did we ever encourage people to get infected with HIV or the measles? Encouraging chicken pox parties, in retrospect, only exposed children to a virus that exhibits latency. It's all so wrong.
